Surf School

Rio Surf Tour is a prominent surf school with the highest trained professional instructors.  Prior to surfing, our instructors offer a tutorial on the basics - including: wax/leash application, surf-stretching, proper paddling, stand-up techniques -- pop-ups or delayed push-up, standard stance -- goofy or regular, and wave riding.   Our instructors go through intricate detail to ensure you are fully prepared with all the techneques necessary in order to perfect your surf style and stand up on your first day.

 You can learn all this in one day on the Day surf trip and get a taste of surfing while in Rio Brazil. Though be careful you may get addicted and feel like you need more!!! 

 Our surf course Packages provided together with our Surf Camp, Rio Surf n Stay, is a way for travellers to experiance more than one day like on the Rio Surf tour. Its a way for you to progress in surfing as everyday we touch on new knowlegde and help you to improve your new found sport. Staying in the Camp surounds you in a surf life style with a relaxed atmosphere and other people in the same frame of mind as you. 

 For us safety is our number one priority and we go through the utmost precautions to protect our students from harm and unpredictable elements. We May change dates of the lessons But its for you own safty. Otherwise we run daily and are always ready to teach.

Surfboard Selection

 Here at Rio Surf Tours, we provide our customers with a wide array of boards to choose from.  Our selection includes: foam soft-top longboards, traditional fiberglass longboards, foam soft-top fun boards, fiberglass fun boards, to the new age fiberglass short board.  Depending on your level of skill and experience surfing, whatever you desire, chances are we have it. 

 

 

Surf School Packages

We offer to temporary and permanent residents of Rio de Janeiro special surf school package deals. We are flexible to your schedule giving you the choice of scheduling your lessons when it’s best for you. Lessons can be scheduled any day of the week. You can either decide between a morning lessons which starts at 10am or an afternoon lesson that start at 2pm. All Surf school lessons have a duration of 1 1/2 hrs. Before the start of each surf lesson we give a land lesson which goes accordingly to your prior surf experience and level. The land lessons always start off with a full body stretch, followed by a theoretical surf explanation. We describe the wave conditions, stand up technique , and just about everything you need to know that day to improve your skills.

 

5 Lessons Package

In this package you have 60 days to schedule in 5 surf lessons. Each lesson with a duration of 1 1/2 hrs. and can be scheduled any day of the week you choose. Each surf lesson includes surf board and equipment. On your 5th surf lesson you can have a photo session of you surfing and after a visit to a surfboard factory with your instructor. While visiting the board factory, you can speak to a professional board shaper and discuss what board could be right for you. Then you can order your custom surfboard. So you can start surfing, with a board made especially for you.

 

10 Lessons Package

With this package you have 120 days to schedule 10 surf lessons. Each lesson with a duration of 1 1/2 hrs. and can be scheduled any day of the week you choose. Each surf lesson includes surf board and equipment. Photos with be taken on the 5th lesson to accompany your surf improvements. The photos will be looked at with an instructor to be discussed and evaluated. Then on your 10th lesson there will be photos taken of you for you to keep as souvenirs. After your last lesson you will be able to visit to a surfboard factory with a guided tour. Then if you’re interested, you can speak to a professional board shaper and discuss what board could be right for you. Then you can order your custom surfboard. So you can start surfing, with a board made especially for you.
